Current Volunteer Opportunities | |||||||
Printable copy of the Volunteer Application Adult Literacy Tutor: Teach adults reading and writing skills. Read stories to preschool and elementary school children. Commitment: One hour per week, flexible schedule for teaching adults. Reading to children as needed. Reports To: Director of Literacy Book Sales: Sort and count book donations and ready them for sale. Help to maintain and stock the Book store. Locate values for some items on Internet Commitment: 2-4 hours/week. Reports to: Teen Services Librarian Internet Sales: List and monitor sales on internet sale sites and mail books to appropriate locations. Commitment: 1 - 2 hours per week, according to your schedule. Reports to: Teen Services Librarian Outreach Services: Take library materials to home-bound residents in Clinton County. Commitment: 2 times per month Reports to: Outreach Services Librarian Spanish Translator: Translate various library publications and signage into Spanish. Commitment: As needed. Reports to: Assistant Director Art Show: Help out at the November Art show from baking cookies, making hors d'oeuvres, serving refreshments, docents in the gallery, salespeople, etc. Commitment: The art show is an annual event held in November. Reports to : Arts Director Special Events: Need someone to take photographs and someone to
videotape special events. Commitment: Varies--when called. Reports to: Arts Director / Administrative Assistant Coffee Shop: Oversee coffee shop, make and sell coffee. Commitment: Weekly Shift of two to four hours Reports to: Coffee Shop Manager Genealogy: Data Entry, Enter historic courthouse records data into searchable database.. Commitment: Weekly Reports to: Head of Genealogy Indoor Plants: Water and care for the library's indoor potted plants. Commitment: 1-2 hours/week Reports to: Maintenance Staff Volunteers are a valuable asset to the Frankfort Community Public Library, and assist library staff in a myriad of ways.
