Youth Theatre Director
Julie Doan Miller holds a Bachelor's
Degree in Elementary Education from DePauw University. She has a variety
of acting experience on both professional and amateur theatre stages,
including Frankfort's own Red Barn Summer Theatre and Clinton County
Civic Theatre as well as Redmond, Washington's Second Story Repertory
and Redwood Community Theatre.
After 3 years of elementary teaching
experience in Washington State, Julie moved back to her hometown and
began the pursuit of her career goal to run a year-round youth theatre
program. Thus, the Clinton County Youth Theatre was born! While in the
Seattle area, she directed student shows for Redmond's Second Story
Repertory, shadowed a teacher with the Seattle Children's Theatre, and
wrote 2 plays for her own classroom. With her combined education and
theatre background, she has been able to produce multiple musicals and
plays, as well as teach a variety of workshops to the youth of Clinton
County.
