TITLE:  Clinton County Literacy Coordinator

 REPORTS TO:  Library Director

 SALARY/WAGE: $13.00 a hour

 WORK SCHEDULE:  Part-time: 24 hours a week.  Schedule to be determined by Library Director and the needs of the position.  Nights and weekends may be necessary.

 OPEN:  Position open until filled

 SUMMARY:  Oversee the day to day operations of the literacy program provided to Clinton County through the Frankfort Community Public Library.  Recruit volunteers for community reading programs and coordinate literacy efforts with schools, churches and other community organizations.  Write grants and fund raise to provide funding for literacy programs and operating costs to include salary.  Maintain records of activity, create statistical reports, prepare and maintain budget.

 QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelorís Degree.  Knowledge and experience teaching essential for this position.  Computer skills.  Ability to work independently.  Ability to speak Spanish preferred. Teaching, public speaking, fundraising experience important.
