Obituaries from the Sheridan News, 1900-1906. Compiled and edited by the staff of the Genealogy and Local History Department of the Frankfort Community Public Library and volunteers of the department, 2011. Contains obituaries, death and funeral notices, and some ‘cards of thanks’ from the microfilmed reels of the Sheridan Press, a local paper of Sheridan Indiana. All obituaries were transcribed from the microfilm.
Begins in April 1900 and runs through December 1906; some issues missing. 247pp, including indices. Hardbound.

Obituaries from the Clinton County Review, 1917-1958. Compiled and edited by the staff of the Genealogy and Local History Department of the Frankfort Community Public Library and volunteers of the department, 2011. Contains obituaries, death and funeral notices, and some ‘cards of thanks’ from microfilmed reels of Clinton County Review, the local newspaper of Colfax, Indiana. All obituaries were transcribed from the microfilm. There are four books to this set: 1917-1929, 428 pp.; 1930-1939, 433 pp.; 1940-1949, 473pp.; and 1950-1958, 315 pp. Page count includes indices. Hardbound.

Visit Frankfort Place to view photographs of all things Frankfort.  Frankfort Place is a project that was started as a way to get images of "old" Frankfort in the public view.  The project has grown to include images from people across the country that wish to share their images.

Photographs from Frankfort Library's slide collection are available for viewing at Frankfort Place & are eligible for purchase through the Genealogy Dept. at the library; just look for the Frankfort Library when viewing the images.

Family History Classes

Come join us on February 20 from 6pm to 8pm for Family History 101. This is a great class for beginning genealogists. The cost is $2.00 and you can register by calling 765-654-8746, through the online Events Calendar, or in person at  the Genealogy and Local History Department.  2013 Lock-Ins March 15, June 14, Sept.13 Ancestry.com   April 26, June 26, Oct. 25 General Genealogy Workshop Lock-Ins begin at 5:00 after the library closes.  The cost is $2.00 and you can register by calling 765-654-8746, through the online Events Calendar, or in person at  the Genealogy and Local History Department.

Clinton County Genealogical Society

The Clinton County Genealogical Society meets at the Frankfort Community Public Library on the 4th Wednesday of each month in the Ivy Tech meeting room on the Lower Level, at 6:30 pm.
