Accessibility Statement
An independent accessibility assessment was completed by
Wabash Center’s Accessibilities and Accommodations Services April 1992 for the
Frankfort Community Public Library.
For people with mobility impairments, the library’s entryway
is accessible in the following ways:
Ramps, Hand Railings, Steps and
Automatic Doors have been installed where required.
For people with visual impairment, the entry/building
incorporates large-print signage and appropriate lighting.
The patron parking has designated “Handicapped Parking” spots
and clear passage to the entry.
For people with mobility impairments, the interior space is
accessible in the following ways:
Ramps, Hand Railings, Steps,
Firm, Smooth Surfaces, Doors that open easily & Automatic Doors, Elevators,
Accessible Restrooms have been installed where required.
For people with visual impairments, the interior space is
accessible in the following ways:
Large print signage, Braille
signage, Braille marked elevator buttons, raised letter signage, free of
hazardous overhangs and protruding objects
The interior space has audio & visual emergency
alarms.
Programming offers room adaptation upon request and
availability.
For people with visual impairment, the library offers large
print materials, large print labeling, taped materials.
For people with hearing impairments, the library offers FM
sound system and TDD/TTY (Telecommunications Device for the
Deaf).
We publicize our accessibility by telephone and on the
website.
